You’ve heard it again and again — when applying for jobs and internships, make sure your social media and is pristine and appropriate. (You don’t want your Instagram or your digital footprint to speak louder than your resume.) This is especially true for aspiring public relations professionals: if you can’t manage your own social media properly, how can an agency expect you to manage a client’s?
It could be undecided career ambitions, an overwhelming amount of options, or a hyper-specific major. Whatever your reason may be for not knowing what kind of internship you want -- it can make you feel lost. How do you know what to work towards? How are you supposed to gain experience? My answer: don’t get wrapped up in the specifics. Almost any quality internship offers valuable insight into the professional world and provides relevant experience if you make the most out of it.
